By accessing and using this website, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions specified in the agreement. When using the services on this website, you also accept to be subject to any posted guidelines or rules that are applicable to items or services and can be modified from time to time. The following guidelines are incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. By using this site, you are accepting to be abide by the following terms and conditions; should you wish to not abide by these conditions, please do not use this site.
We accept payments via Paypal, Visa and MasterCard. Payments for items are due immediately upon purchase. Canadian residents will be charged applicable taxes. If the buyer does not transmit payment within a allocated time of 3 days, the buyer forfeit’s ownership of the item. If no payment is received, the item will not be shipped.
We ship only to the United States and Canada. For international customers, we do not offer the option to buy via our website and must instead contact Galerie Du Louvre directly through our contact page to make arrangements. We ship most items via Express Post from Canada Post and UPS Expedited Service or FedEx for specific items due to size, weight and value. The handling time is 3 days following reception of payment. For items without a price, special arrangements will be made with the buyer prior to payment. All items are insured for their value until a maximum of $1000.00 and they are insured for loss.
Customs and Prohibited items
The buyer is responsible for all custom fees and any applicable taxes in their country. Prior to purchase, the buyer should inquire with customs for items that are made out of Ivory, whalebone tortoiseshell and other possible prohibited materials. Once the item has been shipped, we are not responsible for any inconvenience due to items that have materials prohibited by law in the destination country.
Returns and Refund Policy
Refunds and returns will only be made if the item is not as described. If the buyer requests a refund, it must be done 24 hours after receiving the item and provide pictures that the item is not as described. Once accepted, the item must be returned, insured. Once the item is received by the seller, the refund will be given. If the buyer pays via PayPal, the buyer has a limited time of 45 days to open a claim. In the case of paintings, the buyer must provide a certificate of authenticity by a reputable appraiser that indicates the item is not as described.
